Vast, with high ceilings, the Great Hall at Knowlton accommodates 100 guests in theatre or ceremony style and is fully licensed for Civil Wedding Ceremonies and Civil Partnerships. The local registrars are well used to officiating at ceremonies here and they, together with our wedding team, will help advise you on the process.
THE PAVILION
The Pavilion is a beautiful setting in which to exchange vows in the open air.
Designed by our family and hand-crafted from Estate oak, the Pavilion is also an approved and licensed setting. Topiary hedges in
intricate shapes, manicured lawns and borders of bountiful blooms make this an enchanting and romantic place to say, 'I do'.
PARKLAND
With parkland and woodland aplenty, we will happily liaise with your preferred celebrant should you wish
to enjoy a natural, eco or humanist celebration.
St. CLEMENT'S CHURCH
You may wish to follow your civil ceremony with a blessing in St
Clement's Church, the chapel which sits within the grounds of the Estate. The chapel has beautifully carved Medieval wooden pews, and stained-glass
windows by Lavors, Barrand and Westlake fill the church with a light, which only serves to enhance the romantic ambience.
We will be happy to help arrange a blessing for you through the Church's Conservation Trust and the vicar of our local parish.
A CHURCH WEDDING
Knowlton Court is blessed with two beautiful local churches: Holy Cross Church, Goodnestone, and All Saints Church, Chillenden.
Each is within a short distance of the Knowlton estate.
Anyone wishing to marry in one of these churches must legally qualify through a family connection, or by living in the Parish;
you can also qualify by attending church once a month for six consecutive months.
Should you wish to choose a church service, our local Parish ministry team can assist with the arrangements and our wedding coordinators
will provide contact information.
